FDIS Website Terms & Conditions
The Fire Door Inspection Scheme (FDIS) was launched in 2012 to create a quality training and educational programme to improve an individual’s knowledge of fire door safety and to establish a leading independent fire door inspection scheme. Our main aim is to transform people’s knowledge about how fire doors work and the potential dangers of getting it wrong to ensure fire doors installed in properties are fit for purpose and will keep occupants and buildings safe.
The FDIS provides an online learning centre leading to a Diploma in Fire Doors, and a route to becoming an approved fire door inspector. Professionals involved in fire doors, facilities management, building maintenance, and other aspects of health and safety will all benefit from the scheme’s educational content and will have their competence independently verified.
The Scheme uses its website as a primary form of communication and in order to maintain its serious, independent and credible position the professional members of the Scheme, either students of the Diploma or Inspectors, have a duty to perform in accordance with the terms and conditions set out herein.

If the logo is used on the site, written permission must be sought from the third party. This will protect FDIS in terms of breach of copyright preventing any ambiguity between both parties. A written copy of express permission logo usage approval (letter or email accepted), detailing the usage rights of their logo, must be forwarded on to the Scheme Manager for reference purposes.
